CrossFit vs. SWEAT

Have you been interested in a workout program, but are unsure of where to start? Or maybe you are interested in a change of pace for your daily workouts? We offer personal training, specialty clubs, and two main group fitness classes: SWEAT and CrossFit. 

Both group fitness classes will get you a kick-butt workout, amazing results, and you’ll have fun while doing it! While there are similarities, there are also some differences between our programs that make both special!

Our SWEAT program focuses on functional bodyweight movements, learning new skills, and pushing yourself with your fellow athletes in class. It incorporates strength training mainly from dumbbells and kettlebells with blasts of cardio and HIIT (high intensity interval training) guaranteed to help you lose fat and burn calories. Class is only 45 minutes, but don’t let that fool you. They are challenging workout sessions, will make you SWEAT, and leave you wanting to come back for more!

Our CrossFit program is composed of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) executed at high intensity. You will not find rows of treadmills and weight machines. Instead you will find pull-up bars, kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells and wide open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, and lifting. Each day you will learn something new, push your limits, gain strength, and work towards your goals. And yes, you will leave drenched in sweat! While getting stronger will happen, don’t worry about getting bulky if that isn’t a goal of yours. You will build muscle while losing fat when focusing in on nutrition (we can help with that, too)!

Our SWEAT or CrossFit program is for anyone wanting some change from their typical routine. Each WOD (workout of the day) in either program is always scalable to suit your fitness level. Having a coach there throughout your whole workout, to make sure your movements are right and safe, is something you need to experience. Having a great community to help motivate you through a tough workout makes this experience the whole package.
