Bad Mood Gotcha Down?

A couple days ago, I was off my normal mood. I try my best to be a positive, happy, and loving person. I generally wake up happy, but this certain morning I woke up in a terrible mood. I had an extremely busy day ahead of me and right from the start, little things kept going wrong. My dog got her muddy paws all over my bedspread. I spilled my coffee on my shirt. My morning appointment canceled. Little things that normally I would brush off, but this day for some reason I just couldn't shake my bad mood. Have you been here?

I kept telling myself that I only had 30 minutes to workout and that wasn't enough time. I wouldn't get a quality workout. Excuse after excuse. A friend at the gym encouraged me to just do a short workout and that I would feel better. So reluctantly, I chose a 15 minute WOD and got to work.

This simple 15 minute workout changed my ENTIRE mood around! As soon as I was done, my bad mood was gone and I felt like a new person. You hear that working out boost endorphins and helps with mood and I find that to be incredibly true. This day was a great reminder of that.

So the next time you're in a bad mood or are feeling sad and just can't seem to shake it, I encourage you to workout. It doesn't have to be long, 8-10 minutes will do. I guarantee you'll feel better and will be glad you made the time to invest in yourself and your well-being.
